What Exactly I Do
Doing everything makes you a jack of all trades, master of none.
The focus of my Dallas practice is on SEO and web development. Businesses usually come to me with an idea for their website, and I create it for them while making sure it’s optimized for search engines. These businesses approach me because of my expertise in SEO. My specialty is making sure that the websites I create and improve are easily found by potential clients when they search Google and other search engines.
Usually, I don’t branch out from SEO and web development. So when people ask me about Apps, Email Marketing Campaigns, and various Social Media projects, I say: “Let me refer you to a specialist in that area. My focus is on SEO.”
Let’s talk about your website! You can get in touch with me in several ways:
or tell me about yourself:
My early years and how I got started.
Golden Valley, Arizona… It’s an arid, beautiful place. I moved there when I was young because I couldn’t handle all of the humidity in Washington State where we lived before. My parents decided to homeschool us because the nearest schools were in Kingman, AZ – a good 30 minutes from our house.
Apart from English, Math, Science, Reading and other standards subjects, they had me working on the computer, learning basic programming languages like GW Basic when I was in grade school. It’s a testament to their ingenuity and foresight that when I was just twelve, I used that old computer to create my first program, a basic calculator.
Where my love of being a nerd came from.
My first success with programming spurred me on to continue studying technology, this time with video games. I started creating basic games on my own, adventure games that took the players through epic tales. Since I knew the language, I could also take a look at the coding behind these games, which I did. One of my favorite pastimes was trying to find hidden codes and secrets in all of the games I was playing. After my gaming phase, I got my first taste of website programming, as I started working on my friends’ MySpace profiles.
After a brief hiatus from programming, I launched multiple affiliate marketing sites for myself. I was actually making money off the web. At that time, people that saw my work started asking me to create websites for them. I finally took on my first client back in 2007, which officially began Joseph Stevenson (a Dallas SEO Firm). I’m not the only one to dive into this type of work, as I have two brothers who also work in the tech field, one for BP the other for Adobe. Though I compete for business in the Dallas market, I stand apart from other SEO companies because of my training along the way and my strong work ethic. I have a passion for learning more about SEO every day, and I love keeping up on the latest SEO advances and trends so you don’t have to.
I believe business should be earned, not expected.
I’ve always been upfront with my clients, and have always operated on the principle that I’m there to earn their business and trust. That’s a rarity in this business. Many of the Dallas SEO companies I see, take a different approach. The way these agencies work is to sign a bunch of contracts, then give all of the work to a third party agency and white label the projects as their own. Your work isn’t being completed by the company you actually hire, but through an unnamed third party. I see it as an error of omission – certainly not the way I run my business, or life.
You need to do your homework when you hire a Dallas SEO company, and make sure they’re reputable and honest. Look at their site designs. Look to see if their clients are pleased or not. See if their sites are getting hits. I believe that my body of work speaks for itself. I personally complete the projects I take on and have a stellar track record in the Dallas business community.
If you don’t do things right, don’t do them at all.
Another thing to watch out for is SEO companies that focus on cycling through clients quickly instead of delivering high-quality work’ there’s a lot of them like that. They typically write a few blogs, and bombard the internet with links, telling their clients that this is all there is to it. We instead use a method where we deliver high-quality work created by professionals as opposed to a bulk method.
Here is our 3-Step Plan to increase website rankings:
1. Review current site and optimize for ranking: At this stage, we review your site to make sure it’s of a high enough quality to be seen by the many prospects we’ll be bringing to your site. This step may include rewrites of copy, and back-end coding changes.
2. Develop content for your site: Posting and distributing regular is what will drive your ranking upward. Though this step usually takes the most time, it is very important to increasing the site rank. During this phase. we write press release, blog posts, social media posts, and other content that we can use both on and off your site to create buzz.
3. Repeat, until satisfied. Over time, this process will increase your site ranking on search engines. Other Dallas SEO companies attempt to truncate this process using “SEO tricks” that don’t focus on high-quality content creation. Any professional SEO company will utilize a method similar to ours.
I have personally spent 12+ years marketing websites – and handling SEO for firms in a wide variety of industries in Dallas. Whatever your industry, we’re confident we can get you the results you seek from your website. In fact… If you found this site, and did not know our company name or URL, it’s due to the quality of our Dallas SEO.
Every day just gets better. Out of the Dallas SEO companies, I am hoping we can be the ones to earn your business.
I won’t bite or annoy you with sales guys.
I appreciate you reaching out to me. If you are trying to sell something please do so through the right channel. The same goes for accounting, legal etc. Remeber Fonzie? Cool let’s be like him and keep things cool by not spamming me to death OK?
