What Exactly I Do
Doing everything makes you a jack of all trades, master of none.
I’m a web developer and a true SEO expert who assists companies in Plano, Texas in getting their websites to the top of Google and other major search engines. I also am capable of sustaining your rankings, unlike many other SEO firms in our area. I put my strong programming background, my SEO know-how, and my creativity to work for you on a daily basis. And, I maintain my focus by only offering SEO. For instance, if you want a email marketing campaign or an app built, I can refer you to one of my trustworthy associates. My skills are in SEO, so as they say, “I’m sticking to it!”

My early years and how I got started.
It seems like just yesterday when I learned to code, but actually it was more like 20 years ago when I was in elementary school. My parents had moved us to a small, dry town in Arizona called Golden Valley because I couldn’t take all of the humidity in Washington State where we lived before. Golden Valley was two hours from Vegas and about 30 to 45 minutes from the closest town of any size, Kingman, AZ.
With “civilization” so far away and no school in Golden Valley, my parents made the decision to home school me and my brothers. That decision did more to mold my future than perhaps anything so far in my life. While I was home schooled, my parents taught me to love programming as much as they did. I learned GW Basic and other programming languages and was creating computer programs of my own at only twelve years old.
Where my love of being a nerd came from.
In my teens, my love and command of programming progressed even further. I started studying computer games and figuring out how they worked. You could say that I learned programming from the inside out. Command prompts and file directories became second nature. I even wrote some computer games of my own, adventure games, of course! And when when everything turned to the Internet, my skills advanced in that new realm, too. I learned about web interfaces and soon was programming my friends’ MySpace pages and my own affiliate marketing websites.
At 20, other people started seeing what I was capable of, and started begging me to create their websites. So, in 2007, I started what is now known as Joseph Stevenson (a Plano, Texas SEO Firm), and began getting paid for my programming and web talents. You know, it’s one thing to build great sites, but it’s another to be able to market and position a site. For what use is a great-looking business website if no one sees it that is likely to buy from you? When search engines appeared, so did my desire to use them to my clients’ advantage. I was – and am – determined to do high-quality work for every client who trust me to handle their SEO.
I believe business should be earned, not expected.
You know, trust really is paramount. Without it, nothing good can come of anything. Over the years, I’ve seen first hand that trust must be earned, never expected. Trust goes both ways; my clients pay me and I get results – lasting results – for them on the search engines. Not all firms in Plano are that upfront about these matters. As soon as you sign with many SEO firms in Plano, they will be trying to outsource your work to another less expensive firm to pocket the difference. They do just the surface work (and really act as middleman), all while you’re believing you hired a company that has your best interests in mind.
In contrast, I want you to get value for your investment and I realize I need to do the tasks necessary – applying my breadth of experience and ingenuity along the way – to maintain your trust. While I won’t claim to be the only honest SEO company that’s worth your money, anyway you look at it, I am one of the best in Plano.
If you don’t do things right, don’t do them at all.
There are really no “secrets” to great SEO. What it does take however is a consistent, strategic process applied with creativity, and consistency. Over my 12 years in the SEO business in Plano, I’ve developed a process that works every time.
Here’s how I get business websites to the top of the major search engines:
1 – Review their current website in detail; decide what needs to be improved and do it before all that increased traffic starts coming your way. This often involves better coding and content, and getting more specific about the sales process that will work best for your firm.
2 – Create new content that’s high-quality and posted on a regular basis. This involves putting blogs on your sites, and posting social media messages and press releases off site – where other sites will pick up your copy and publish it.
3 – The search engines take notice and your site starts to move up in the rankings. To keep it there, the last step is repetition. We keep doing Step #2 in a quality matter again and again.
Like most worthwhile things in life, this process is simple, but it’s definitely not easy. That’s why it’s not common to find a company that will stick with the process on a daily basis.
Simply stated, if any SEO firm in Plano suggests another way that will achieve the results you want, they are short cutting the process. And, they aren’t being straight with you – or just don’t know any better. It takes time and expertise to rise to the top. But, it can be done… I’m doing it for my clients.
Actually, the proof of the effectiveness of the Plano SEO I provide to my clients is right here on this page. If you’re reading this, you likely got here because of my solid Plano SEO process.
