Episode 10:

In this episode I combine some things from chapter 2 and 3 of my book on Keyword Research. If you haven’t yet, go get a copy on Amazon by searching for “keyword research” or “little book on digital marketing”. Finding keywords with high volume and low difficulty should be your first step in determining what route to go in digital marketing whether you are doing SEO, social media, ppc or any other type of digital marketing. Know what your customers are searching for and how competitive the market is should always be your first goal.

I am really excited that the audible version is out in a couple of weeks and hope that many will find it helpful and educational. In this episode I just share the introduction to the book which is around 7 minutes so not very long.

class=”question”> If I have a brick and mortar store in one city but I also want to target another city that is not too far off from me how would you guys recommend targetting it? We have some ideas for them and some tips around content creation.

How Long

Considering this, what should be the SEO strategy for new websites? Specifically title length. So the first thing you need to think about is the length Google will allow in their search results. Moz does a nice job summing up the character length in their post on Title Tags. With a 60 character limit you will want to stay under that so your entire titleContinue readingHow Long

Build Your Website to Rank Well

le and other search engines can only know what you tell them. If you sell baby blankets like in our example above you need to tell Google and the other search engines that you sell baby blankets. Seems simple right? Unfortunately many companies don’t understand this so they build their websites focusing on keywords like “Maria’s custom sewing”. If you search for “Maria’s custom sewing” you find your website immediately. If you search for “baby blankets” you never find the site because… you guessed it, there is no mention of “baby” or “blankets” in the website anywhere. This small butContinue readingBuild Your Website to Rank Well

If you are a little love-struck with your business idea try asking some friends who will give you honest opinions. Simple questions like: “What do you think I do or sell?”, “WhoContinue readingKnow Who Your Target is Before Starting SEO
